IF YOU DON’T HAVE TESTING EQUIPMENT such as a multimeter, this is an effective alternative. Just a galvanized nail, penny (copper), and potato. Simple, safe, and can be done by almost anyone. You can try other metals in place of the galvanized nail. I did find that stainless steel cutlery (forks or knives) did not work well with the copper penny, athough an old screwdriver did in place of the nail. You can try other “acid” types of vegetables or fruits, but you must make sure the vegetable or fruit is juicy and wet with acid juice between the penny and the nail.

When this procedure is done with your earbuds in your ears, the sounds will be much louder and clearer than what I could pick up with my camera’s microphone. Remember, IF YOU ARE UNABLE to achieve any sound in one of your earbuds, but you can in the other, then your earbuds are likely defective.
Note! For most earbuds, the “tip” of the plug is the left earbud, with the first “sleeve” up from the tip being the right earbud. Touching the 2nd sleeve (common) to the tip (left) or the first sleeve (right), will produce small sounds in the respective earbuds.
ALSO, for the many of you who have 4 conductors on your earbuds, the 4th conductor (sleeve) is usually for the microphone. No need to touch that sleeve.
If your earbuds test out ok (you hear sounds), but when you plug them into your device you still have problems with missing sound, be sure to check out my other video which addresses a very common problem that can make “sound cut out”.

The best case you can buy for your iPhone is a silicone case. I love the texture of this case and it feels really good in your hand while you’re holding your phone. Yes the price is high but this is a great case. This was won’t add to much protection to your phone but it will protect against minor drops and scratches. The white is the color I got and I must say, it looks so clean and very fresh on my matte black iPhone 7. If you like having name brand things then I think you will really enjoy having this case. It does have a microfiber lining on the inside which is ny favorite part. One last thing I should mention is that it tends to pick up a lot of dust and lint. This is probably one of the best cases I have used for my phone. I really like the feel of the Elago iPhone cases, but these Apple silicone cases, in my opinion, surpass the Elago with a feel of elegance not found on other phone cases. I got one for my partner and my sister. I don’t think we can go back to Elago. However, the price point is a bit steep for a phone case.

Denon Receiver – 5.1 – Speaker wire – managment box – cable – mounts – HDMI cables – speakers – – audio – wirestrippers – this video I discuss some of the things to consider when choosing a receiver and 5.1 speaker system along with the various accessories you might need along the way. I also go over some of the basic setup and install process as well.
This is mainly for those that are in the $1000-1200 range, so there were certain limitations especially when considering space and looks, and this setup was for a nice living room, where we didn’t’ want huge speakers dominating the room.
Also for this size budget I prefer sticking to a good 5.1 (or 5.2) system, rather than trying to find a budget dolby atmos system, which really demands that you get larger speakers to take advantage of or to really be worth the extra cost.
In my opinion a 7.1 system isn’t really worth it, and besides we used the extra channels to power some outdoor speakers to play on their back deck.
In the end this system worked awesome and I think it’s the best surround sound system we could put together given the constraints.
My friends and I were very happy with the results, and we’ve enjoyed a lot of movies on this system and they no longer have to rock a little Bluetooth speaker when having parties.
